Environment

All our activities are assured environmentally through ISO 14001. This briefly means that we work towards developing products on the basis of function, durability and environmental impact. This results in products that work as they should for a long period, thereby saving both nature's and our customers' resources. Rahmqvist works on a preventive, long term and sustainable solutions basis.

Quality is a natural consideration in our environmental work just as the environment is a key consideration in our quality work. Our environmental policy can be summarised in eight points:

- We shall develop and provide products and services which cause as little environmental impact as possible.

- We shall reduce the environmental impact of our transports through planning, coordination and demands on our suppliers.

- We shall reduce the environmental impact of our activities by applying the company's and natural resources effectively.

- We shall live up to our customers' expectations for an environmentally friendly company and share our knowledge with them to help them achieve their environmental goals.

- We shall encourage our suppliers to adapt their activities environmentally in order to reduce the effect on the environment caused by the manufacture of our products.

- We shall work to create a pleasant, safe and developing working environment. Personnel shall be made aware of the effect they have on the environment in their daily work and informed about how to perform their tasks in order to comply with this policy.

- We shall keep up with societal developments with regard to the environment and whenever possible adapt our activities to new techniques and demands. Legislation and official regulation within the area of the environment shall be our minimal level of compliance.

We coordinate with our suppliers and customers, continually exchanging requirement information and knowledge in order to reduce the environmental impact of every phase of our activities from manufacture to delivery.
