Manufacturer's liability for electrical items
WEEE directive (WEEE Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)
According to the WEEE directive, which is applicable throughout the EU, we the manufacturer are responsible for the disposal of our electrical items when they have filled their purpose. Electrical waste contains ecologically harmful materials such as PCB, mercury and lead, but also various valuable metals. By collecting, processing and recycling scrap electrical items in an environmentally friendly way, not only is the emission of ecologically harmful material reduced, but also house keeping with respect to raw materials and resources is improved.
